Hang tight, regulation is around the corner.

Important Update: Changes to Buy Now, Pay Later in the UK

At PollenPay, we’re committed to being transparent, responsible, and customer-focused. From 15 July 2026, Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) products like ours will be regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under new rules for Deferred Payment Credit (DPC).

Limited new sign ups available

We’re preparing to operate under the new rules through the UK’s Temporary Permissions Regime, which allows us to keep offering our services while we complete full regulatory approval. To accommodate these changes to our platform, we’ll be limiting new access by controlling the number of sign-ups to PollenPay in the short-term.

What we’re doing

We’re currently updating our website and customer experience to reflect these new requirements.

This means you may notice:

  • Updates to how information is shown during checkout
  • Changes to how we explain repayment plans
  • New or enhanced support features

What these changes mean for you

You’ll start to see some changes designed to give you more clarity and protection when using PollenPay:

  • Clearer information upfront about how payments work
  • Stronger affordability checks to make sure plans are right for you
  • Improved support if you ever fall behind on payments
  • A continued focus on fair and transparent fees

These changes are part of a wider move across the UK to make BNPL safer and more consistent for customers.

Our committment

Our goal is simple: To give you flexible ways to pay – without surprises, confusion, or hidden complexity.

If you have any questions, our support team is here to help.
